Brigham Young University: Hawai'i's top leading newspaper tells of life on Pohnpei, an island part of the Federated States of Micronesia in the western Pacific Ocean. It is known as the Garden Micronesia due to heavy rainfall and fertile soil. The island is 129 square miles and home to more than 36,000 people.
This article is told by Jason (Kamaua) Yamamoto and his colleagues who had lived on the island for quite some time.
