Creating and Founding Web_Shapers Hawaii

Web_shapers HI is a small web development studio based out of the North Shore of Oahu. Web_shapers is dedicated to helping small businesses create or improve upon their own website. Web_shapers delivers fast, beautiful, and good quality websites with optimized search engine optimization (SEO) rankings.

Founded in June 2021 by myself (Jason K. Yamamoto), my initial goal was to make websites for local businesses, after seeing the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. I recruited two other professionals; one specializing in digital marketing and web design, and the other in html, CSS, Java script and web development. Together, we create websites for our local businesses of O'ahu to generate leads, sales, and raise brand awareness.

Integrated Marketing Communications Plan for Whole Foods

As a team of 4 marketing professionals in an "Integrated Communications" class, we successfully created an integrated communications plan for the store, Whole Foods. In the report, we took a variety of measures aimed at stabilizing the brand’s image among current and young potential customers - Millennials. We chose to focus on promoting our “Live to Grow” school lunch campaign, which emphasized the new USP of “A Whole Future With Whole Foods” by partnering with local school districts to provide healthy lunches for children. Through the use of TV commercials, social media, public relations, and special events, Whole Foods Market would incorporate our campaign hashtag of #wholefoodswholefuture, in an effort to further increase brand engagement and preference among the millennial target audience by illustrating Whole Foods commitment to making a difference in local communities and families.

Creating The 18th Tonga Research Association Conference Website

The Tonga Research Association (TRA) , Kautaha Fekumi ʻa Tonga, is a multidisciplinary association for the advancement of Tongan studies. The Tonga Research Association (formerly Tongan History Association) was established in Haʻapai, Tonga, 1989. Under my (Jason K. Yamamoto) direction and management of my team of 2, we designed and manage this website, where guests may submit their thesis, find lodging, and find all necessary information for the conference. The 18th TRA occurred from September 22-26, 2021.
